Maths and real life
We have been seeing a video about the history of Geometry and I have realized about the importance of Geometry in our world. Obviously, we have Arab-muslim constructions which ceramic tiles, for example of the Alhambra, have a lot of Geometry on them. In addition, we also have Geometry in art. As I see it, it will be a good way to catch the attention of learners. We could explain the symmetry, through repetition and analysis of different art treasures. It is quite interesting because students could attend to different places to learn about Geometry, experimenting with the world: the best way of learning. We have been also talking about the abstract elements, such as Mathematics and Geometry. Thanks to this abstraction, we could explain to students the contents. Connected with all that I have noticed the necessity of a new way of learning Maths.
